About Sarah

Sarah Farrelly

Hey, Tristan here, Sarah’s other half and part time assistant. Sarah isn’t big on writing about herself so I’ve jumped on here to tell you a little bit about how fricken talented she is and why if you want something special she’s the photographer for you…

Sarah captures the joy of life in her images, moments that we have lived and feelings that we enjoyed. Even if they are only expressed for an instant she has an amazing ability to make that moment a memory to cherish.

Her passion is capturing that emotion and her portraits reflect this. When I look through the images she produces I always feel a connection to the person, it’s more than just a photoshop enhancement – its personalised memories we would otherwise lose – it’s the history of where we are and the enjoyment to reflect on what is most important to us all. She shows us our heart the way we want to see it, our uniqueness in this busy chaotic world and celebrates the memories of the journeys we are on.

Sarah’s natural talent for capturing these moments comes from her own open hearted approach to life and well grounded sense of humour, she naturally blends in with people and becomes a friendly familiar face within moments of your first meeting. Her relaxed manner instils a calming and confident environment with no additional pressure; she becomes a familiar face and not a stranger in your event.

I might be a little bias but I think she’s pretty damn talented and whether its a family portrait or a special event you want to capture and treasure forever…Sarah’s your girl.         Well she’s actually my girl, but I’ll loan her to you for a little bit.

A little more about Sarah…

Why did I become a photographer? The short answer is I love taking photos. I don’t have a Masters in Photography or any grand awards. I’m self taught and really just fuelled by passion to pick up my camera whenever I can. I love that photographs allow us to relive and remember the important events and people in our lives. The celebrations, holidays, weddings, babies and sometimes sadly loved ones who have passed. They are our own personal story, a timeline of our lives filled with faces and the places we love that we share with the world. Our life told through a series of images documenting what we did, how we did it and most importantly who we did it with. Photographs freeze time and speak directly to our emotions and there is nothing like watching people as they view their shots for the first time. Sometimes they laugh, sometimes they cry, but they are all taken back to that moment which would otherwise be forgotten. Photos are a tangible piece of our heart. They are a feeling, a smile, a moment captured in life that will last long after we are gone.

So yeah, I love taking photos…but it’s also so much more xx
